Program Facilitators

Miriam Jones

Open Circle Co-Founder

I am a facilitator and guide of transitions. I am a mother, an entrepreneur, a woman growing and expanding into myself in the world. I am committed to contributing my gifts and whatever wisdom I have gained from my experiences to supporting people, organizations and communities moving and growing through change in themselves and in the world. I am offering these retreats and trainings to serve people strengthening their inner compass and heart to be courageous in how they use their gifts and voice in the world. You can find my professional background here and more on Open Circle website here: https://www.weareopencircle.com/about/our-team

Rebecca Bruhn

Wilderness Guide

I love helping people deepen their connection with the natural world and empower themselves with both urban and wilderness awareness and preparedness skills. I have taught at bushcraft schools leading wilderness immersion programs for youth, teens, and adults, and designed nature-based curriculums for schools and camps. I see the power in deep listening to shift mindset. Whether that’s by listening to each other, the birds, or the tracks on the ground, the stories we hear and the ones we share can transform our perspectives and deepen our connections. What Do People Say About Working With Open Circle?

“I've let go a few times in my life but not many. I am a get things done type of person. This was a profound experience. There was something, it was not just the shift, there are plenty of transformative workshops that happen and then people go home nad kick the dog or fight with their husband. I think what is im[portant in this worka nd the changes that I observed in myself and others. There was a way that Open Circle guided people, you asked the right question in difficult times. It cleaned the film of that lens of just saying "OK this is who I am" and opened a door beyond that.”

Ingrid Ammondson, PhD. Licensed Clinical Psychologist

“In the work with Open Circle there was no predestined outcome. Conversations moved in the direction that the group chose. As a result, discussions were far richer and more dynamic because they included more than a single organizer/leader could anticipate and prepare for. By modeling tools that empower individuals to both share and listen with intention, it has taught me a new way of learning that aligns with my goals of cultivating creativity and action in my work and life.”

Patricia Lord, Executive Director, Siskiyou County Arts Council

“In working with Open Circle I experienced the way my personal transformation can inspire the evolution of our business. The way Open Circle create transformation is a big deal. They walk the talk – they have done it and are living it.”

Jennifer Sweeney, Co-Founder, X4 Health

“In the journey with Open Circle I moved from awareness to capacity to tangible possibility of my goals. I have developed my own guideposts as I move forward, reminders of what is important and why. And as the winds of change continue to blow, I feel solid that I will be able to navigate them. As I think about the transition I have moved through and see others as they move through various transitions, I think I am the lucky one for being through this process and learning in the way I have.”
